About

Hello, I’m Giuseppe.

Creative technologist & AI engineer. A curious mind with a home base in Salento.

Peppe to my friends. I’m a creative technologist and AI engineer with a computer-engineering foundation. I connect technology, design and storytelling to make ideas people can use, understand and experience.

Building a base in Salento

I grew up believing the life I wanted was somewhere else. I left Salento to study in Turin, then moved to Vienna for work. Now I’m building a home base in Presicce-Acquarica that can support an ambitious, creative and internationally connected life. Working remotely, spending time abroad and keeping international friendships are part of that life.

I make things, explore by bike and bring people together. I want to help create more reasons to live here, return and reconnect throughout the year. Salento is celebrated as a holiday destination, but it is also a place where people work, learn, make friends and build their futures. Its language, dialect, humour and character can shape new possibilities alongside connections with the wider world.

I’m sharing the attempt with people from small towns and isolated places who recognise the question: could the place I come from support the life I want? The answer will take actual work, contributions from others and a willingness to learn from what is already here.

Making technology understandable

I worked with Markus Mooslechner and a wider team on Hera Companion, an AI companion for ESA’s planetary-defence mission.

The project brought together interaction, artificial intelligence, live mission data, and storytelling to make a distant scientific subject easier to approach. It also became the starting point for an educational event in Presicce-Acquarica, bringing internationally connected work into a shared local experience.

Away from the screen

I started mountain biking at fourteen and later explored the Western Alps on road and mountain bikes while living in Turin. After two years away from cycling, I’m preparing to ride again and discover Salento through gravel and road routes. Riding is one of the ways I learn a landscape.

I also play guitar and care about hi-fi, specialty coffee, useful objects, and good design.
